AX Transportation is part of the Ahern Family of Companies, which began in 1953 as a small gas station and landscape equipment rental shop at the site of the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Today, this family-owned business includes prominent brands such as Ahern Advanced Career Training, Xtreme Manufacturing, Xtreme Cubes and Snorkel, recognized globally in equipment manufacturing.

In spring 2016, Don Ahern founded AX Transportation, building on decades of experience in coordinating shipments of parts and equipment across the country. His vision was to create a trucking company that would efficiently and safely transport equipment and products for his and other companies.

AX Transportation features a Fueling Division that operates 24/7, offering on-site refueling for gas and diesel machinery. Our certified technicians deliver unleaded gasoline, regular diesel, and tax-exempt red diesel throughout the Southern Nevada region, ensuring equipment runs smoothly while managing fuel costs and enhancing productivity.

In 2021, Ahern Advanced Career Training (Ahern ACT) was established as part of the Ahern Family of Companies to offer comprehensive Class A CDL training for aspiring drivers, aiming to put the safest CDL drivers on the road. Ahern ACT is dedicated to equipping future drivers with the essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in the trucking industry. Our thorough training program ensures a steady supply of qualified drivers who meet our high standards of excellence.
